Anyone use these before? How do they sound? They came in a kit I got for the 'cuda, but I'm not sure if I want to use them.

Thanks!

I had them. They are OK. I ended up removing them and swapping with Hooker Aero Chambers, adding a crossover tube and adding cone shaped tips.

I didn't like the "pulsing" sound my cam had from bank to bank when on the throttle. The cross-over tube helped that a lot,but I found that the biggest change to the sound of exhaust was when I fit different tips. I like the sound oval-shaped, mini-megaphone ends. They work the same way flared ends on musical wind instruments do. It smoothes the harshness out of a straight pipe end and sweetens the sound.

I have used a couple of sets on big blocks with 2 1/2" pipes and they were not bad at all.

Haven't tried em. I have read the dynomax super turbos are somewhat restrictive if there's any similarity...

I'm running Doug's headers and a 3" system back through 3" OE style tips. My cam is pretty aggressive for a street car. The kit doesn't have a crossover though.

I used them on a couple cars, they are ok sounding and they are cheap. I got the fully welded ones this time, but haven't installed them yet.

I was considering swapping them out for Flowmaster American Thunder 40 series.

I'd do a straight through type muffler instead if you're looking for max flow.

Dynomax Super Turbos are quite similar to the original hemi mufflers, I love'em. But, I'm not running a 600cubic inch bigblock. I've gotten quite a few compliments running them.

Horses for courses.

Anyone who drives by me with Crap...oops, I meant Flowmasters, instantly loses 30 IQ points in my estimation.

In my life, I've heard way too many really LOUD, slow cars.

I run Their 3 inch stainless ones.My 440 is radical with X pipe. They sound mellow but have a beefy sound when you get on it.Been on at least 8 years maybe more. They still look good and the price was like 65 each.Rocky

You can listen to many brands of mufflers on you tube. It might not be the exact sound on the video, but it is good enough for comparisons and decision making in my opinion. If your car is a keeper, magnaflow and borla make affordable stainless steel muffs with a lifetime warranty.

Same opinion here. Not to offend anyone, but those are horrible sounding mufflers! I call 'em "flow disasters" due to the torturous path that the exhaust gases go through to get out of flowmasters!

I'm gonna stick with the Summit mufflers. If after I get them on and I don't like them, then I'll swap them out for something else.

I had them on an '85 Ram with a 318 and cheap Summit headers. They were ok- but not something I would run on one of my nice cars. Just my opinion.

I have Hooker Aero chambers on my Dart and really like them.

I've run them also...No trouble and they sound good for what they are...They came in the kit I'd do as you say and run them...If then you make the switch you'll have a baseline starting point for the upgrade..
