are the newer restoration agm batteries any good, or are they as junkie as the older lead acid?

Lead acid from New Castle Battery when it was still Turbo Start,10 yrs old still going strong and was never connected to a battery tender.!

My AGM TurboS working for 6yrs and going strong. I do use a Batt Tender.
My lead one lasted 3 yrs. Think it depends on ambient conditions etc.
