Makes sense. Gonna put a set of shackles on and see what happens.

There is no way for the spring to really compress without a shackle. Think about it, if you jack the car up and let the rear hang, how is it going to move? You basically may as well have no springs, just solid steel.

I think it will fix your problem. I think the next thread is "What S/S springs to pick the back of my car back up?" drive

Yeah, I'm almost excited now! The rear sits 4" higher than the front so we'll see.

IMO, the car should not be driven, period, with this no shackle set-up. And trying to gentle but firm, anything else these bozos did, should be reviewed VERY carefully. twocents

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Holy crap!

Uhhh, yeah, there's the problem. You need a flex point for the leafs to work properly.

Observations from these pics: Obviously you need a shackle or slider to allow spring motion, your subframe connector fall short of engaging the rear subframes, your springs have been moved in 3", the rear sway bar has been removed (probably because of the spring relocation),it appears you have a stock lo-po spring pack (which vehicle this spring pack is from is TBD depending on lengths), your upper shock mount has been hammered loose and cobbled back together, all the stock mounting points are still intact and could allow conversion back to original, you may have axle housing width and spring pad mount location alterations to deal with as well.

You have a host of issue to address and a number of decision to make on how to address them. Since you did not immediately know you were missing the shackle and how that would impact the problems you were having, I'm also a bit concerned about your overall knowledge of addressing these issues. I'd highly encourage you to pick up a FSM on your car and/or the Mopar Chassis book to help guide you through some of these items and how to address them and encourage you to regular post questions on here to get real time feedback on concerns.
