Restored variable speed wiper motor in a late 68 Roadrunner - does not park when switch is turned off.

Actually keeps running until key is turned off...??

I replaced with a used wiper motor I had and system works as required including parking when switch is turned off - that should indicate the switch (which also was restored) is working correctly.

Any suggestions on an easy fix without having to send it off for service?

I'm not actually sure who restored the wiper motor as the owner of the car had it done thru a mutual friend about 4-5 years ago when the rstoration was started. Not throwing anyone under the bus as the cosmetics on the motor are very nice.

Any suggestion.... Thanks in advance

Since you didn't buy it no warranty on it. I'd pick one of the vendors to repair it. Doesn't cost as much as a resto and they know what they're doing.

I'm trying to help out the Owner of the Roadrunner who had it restored, but does not know who he had restored it 4-5 years ago. Yes most likely no warranty.

Yes I agree sending it off to a professional is an option, and thats most likely where it will go

I was just trying to see if there was something that could be done or if there was a trick before sending it away.

If he got the motor at Woodly it might have been one I did and there is a warranty. If you can get a pic I'll be able to tell. If its not its a quick fix.
