Super high quality and safe. Made installing the drive train in my Duster a breeze. they are available for all Mopar engines.

Agree Scott.. great purchase... engine went in like a breeze! I know I could have fabed one out of furniture dolly's and lumber... but too much invested for me..

The problem I see is...you guys are lifting the car and drive train with a engine crane and not a car crane. Talk about having a lot invested. That crane ain't made to hold the whole front of the car and drive train after you bolt it in. It is very dangerous at that point.

NO... lift is used to lower the car onto the drive train...and then your done...I never lifted the car after the K member bolts were fastened...

iagree

The method of lifting can be whatever you choose, but all you re lifting is the front of an empty car, its no more load on the hoist than an engine would be, likely far less. The shot you see with the hoist holding my car up was only there to keep the car stable and from overloading the nose with my jack stands so far back, I actually lifted it with a floor jack and had jack stands in the rear, I did this to get more room underneath as I was installing the trans cross member, etc.

When the body is lifted it weighs so little a couple of strong guys could raise it.

Yes, I could grab the body and lift it myself...In this last case it was a convertible but I've done it with hardtops also... I use one of the lifts for the ease of install...

I made up a heavier version of the T framing type and have made up optional accessories for other year installs...

Another vote for U.S Car Tool. Nice piece and breaks down easily for storage.

All this talk of cost,I was given all the metal and huge casters for free so I literally have the cost of the gas and wire for my welder in this project.

On the ground my small cheaply jack fits under it,the car is on jack stands so I jacked the dolly up in to place, now I will remove the k-frame bolts and lower the whole assembly to the ground, then lift the front of the car and roll everything out from under.

Oh yeah,I spent $7 on a tap.

The run in yoke is designed to hold a 26 in radiator and use the same hoses as a 68-69 B body, and it slides out if you only need the dolly

How do you put the bolts in from k-frame to frame? From the picture the k sets on those studs to line it up, are they removable?

It's not designed for install into a car, that requires transfer to cart made for install, those carts tend to be a lot higher off the ground

How stable is that stand when an engine is on it and running?

After seeing the new posts here I had to build yet another piece.

The dolly works perfect and with the large casters it rolls around with little effort.
