I've got an RPM Airgap manifold on my 360 and an edelbrock performer carb. I just ordered a .33 inch spacer, and realized I got the open spacer instead of divided. Should I try the open spacer, or just send it back and get a divided one?

Depends on what you are trying to get out of it. A 4-hole is said to help bottom end more and an open is said to help top end more.

By divided, I didn't mean 4 hole. It is just divided in half to match the pattern on the intake. I bought the completely open spacer instead of the one pictured. What difference will it make to use completely open vs this one?

Should work fine. I used a 4 hole 1/2 inch on a 440 w/ a RPM.

Different combinations like different configurations. As short as your spacer is it will likely make little to no difference.I would run the open one you have.

Probably won't make much of a noticable difference.

Basically the "open" gasket allows a little of the vacuum signal from the left side of the intake to "bleed" over into the right side carb venturis, and vice versa. In theory, this makes your 2 plane intake behave a little more like a single plane (as was said above.) The divided gasket keeps both sides isolated from each other.

That said, if it was me, I'd send it back and get the divided one.

10-4, thanks! I'm gonna try what I got and replace if needed. It's mostly a street car, so if I give up too much bottom end I'll get the divided one.

Thanks for the input!
