Okay, quick question:
Trying to swap out a hemi 6qt (1970) oil pan to an old style Moroso 7qt deep style pan. Is it possible with the engine in the car? Especially with the 1/2" pickup swap. BTW on 1967 B-Body with 440 block and K-frame.

Yes, pretty easy actually. Just have to drop the steering center link.

I have done the exact pan in a 67 Body. Not sure if I had to lift the engine up some, but I don't believe it was a big deal.


67 Coronet 500 9.610 @ 139.20 mph
67 Coronet 500 (street car) 14.82 @ 94 mph
69 GTX (clone) - build in progress......

Thanks, I forgot I did a pan swap in my 66 Hemi Satellite back to the 66-69 style pan. The only glitch might be the Moroso pick-up swinging around the K-frame when I screw it in.
