Big day today. Placed the motor on the K frame and dropped the car over the engine.

The flat is supposed to be to the right while standing in front of the car, no idea why. I have seen dozens of original 67-72 Darts and they were almost all that way. Here are a oouple Demons...

Thanks guys, I checked both parts cars and it looks like the plate is mounted like Rhinodart stated. Easy change

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

It's looking good. Quick question... Did you clear coat the LCA's or just leave them natural?

I used a paint I picked up from Homedepot. Appliance stainless steel. I was going to do the cosmoline treatment but this is going to be a nice driver and not a show queen.

Looks good. I am use that for the LCA's on the Bee. I was wondering what to use when I rebuild them. The last ones I did were powder coated black.

These are my Dusters LCA's, I steam cleaned them, soaked them in Evaporust, scrubbed off the remaining crud with 0000 steel wool, coated them in ESC's "RPM" metal protectant, then dipped them in real Cosmoline. After it dried (a week or so in warm weather)they remained much less sticky/tacky than most seem to think, it worked awesome! Did you brush it on?

What about where the torsion bar inserts. That looks all gubbered up.

Cool. I wonder if the factory used the wax as a protective lube for the end of the torsion bar.
