I'm getting ready to install the headliner in my 70 Cuda. I have the hardware figured out except for two items.... First is 2 small wires with hooks. What wre they used for and where do they go? Second is 4 galvanized pieces that are small and screw in somewhere for some reason Thanks in advance. Tom

the wire clips go on the front and rear bows (rods) then out horizontle to the roof to help keep the whole shebang stretched out/keep it from collapsing inward. Not alot but its a BTT for ya

When I took down the original headliner from my 72 the little wire clips were on the rear bow and they clipped into the upper window frame somewhere. They were "centered" between the car centerline and the C pillar. Make sense? They kept the headliner from pulling forward after install, as previously stated. edit: The memory is shot but I think the galvanized clips are for your shoulder harness. edit edit: They are for your shoulder harness. This is one of the links that I used when I did my headliner. http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/2010/01/01/hmn_tips2.htmlHere is my thread. You can see the wire clips sticking out of the upper rear window frame in one of the pictures. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/7863451/site_id/1#import

the wire clips go on the front and rear bows (rods) then out horizontle to the roof to help keep the whole shebang stretched out/keep it from collapsing inward. Not alot but its a BTT for ya Both wires go on the rear hoop only and attach above the window frame, there's holes. And like said stretch toward the front and holds the hoops in place. Use contact cement front and back to glue the fabric to the roof and stretch out the sides with the clips hold the fabric on the sides. On your 70 the "buckets" screw in first then the hoops go into them. Then from 71 forward they go directly into the roof structure. I have pictures of the wires some where installed i"ll try to find it.

Anybody know where to buy the "wires" I found the one I thought I lost.. It was in my truck that I sold and figured I lost it, nope..I unrolled my old headliner and I can't find the one I thought was in there, so I am missing one.. I'm pretty sure I can make one out of a piece of mechanics wire if need be though. Thanks Kevin
