I have a 69 GTS Date M Code and thought it had the original wiper motor on the car until I removed it this weekend. It looks like it has been changed at some time but the wiring harness looks like the original. It has the large canister style rather then the flat faced type. I think this is the 2 speed and the other is a variable which I though all GTS should have. Is there a spot on my build sheet that would tell which one the car should have had either a standard 2 speed type or Variable speed. I can not find a part number on the canister style 2 speed that I removed, do these have a part number and date codes on them and where would it be located. I have seen the variable speed with part numbers and date codes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does it have a foot pump wahser in the floor? If so it's a 2 speed car if my info is correct, 3 speed had an electric pump in the tank. I have a GTS with a 2 speed and a foot pump, 3 speed was an option. I'll study a build sheet and see where the box is and report back.

8th line on the sheet, J25 is the code and shoud be on the tag as well or at least it was on a 69 Formula S I looked at yesterday.

The 2 sp motor in 69 had no part number or date code stamped in them.

Yes I have a foot pump and I got my build sheet from my safety deposit box and I now see J25 and it is not marked so looks like it is correct as not on fender tag either.

Thanks

Same for 68 GTS. I have a foot pump with a 2 speed wiper. It's on my build sheet

The J25 3 speed wiper would be on the fender tag. I have the 2 speed w/ foot pump in my GTS as well. Point that out to some of the younger crowd next time you have your car out. Not only do they NOT know what a floor dimmer switch is, but a foot pump washer will really confuse them!

67 GTS's all had the three speed, 68 and 69 could have either. wave

I would definitely say 2-speed, most I have seen have them.
