I have looked through several threads for head gaskets and there is some great information however the one piece that seems to be missing is recommended compression ratio. What are my options if I have a 4.380 bore and want a .040ish or less compressed height? I do not want a wire ring as I am running aluminum heads and I have had to cut once already to remove the marks left by a 1009. Will the Edelbrock 7325 or the Mopar P4349559 handle 13.5-1? I would rather stay out of the $200 club for Cometic. The Mopar P4349559 has claims a 4.380 bore so I didn't know if would actually fit a 4.380 cylinder.

I have been running the 8519 and they have held for a year but on teardown I can see a little cylinder to cylinder crossover.

Thanks

You said you don't want to spend for the Cometics.
But that is what I have used at that CR for around 10 years and love them. I even reuse them a few times when disassembling for inspections or freshen ups. Reusing cuts the cost.

Cometics aren't that expensive if you buy them at the right place.

The Mopar P4349559 are what I ran with my aluminum 452 because that's what Mopar recommended. When they showed up, low and behold they were Fel Pro 1009's
