an update for everyone who follows the build, on monday night i fired it up for the first time and took it for a drive around the block! its a pretty awsome feeling getting to drive something i created. i still have alot of tinkering to dial everything in and work the bugs out. i have a video of it and i will try to get it on here

Very nice! I still remember that feeling, but it was a long time ago for me now, lol. About 20 years actually...I'll be 36 this year. Car looks and sounds real good! Now get some more video w/ tire smoke, lol. You've done one helluva job w/ that car!

i wanted to go with a dana and eventually it will get one but i had the 8 3/4 so instead of spending a few thousand on a dana i just rebuild the 8 3/4 i think i have $1700 in the whole rear but thanks! i will post more pictures and videos as it comes together

Start w/ a junkyard/craigslist truck Dana and you can have one ready to bolt in for less than $1700. I've done it twice...danas under mine and my dad's road runners.

put about 50 miles on it this week and past weekend. straightened some things out with the suspension. then yesterday i took it to a friend of mine who helped me paint the car and had the edges of the fenders touched up so i can put the hood on.

got the hood on the car on Saturday, it still doesnt seem real but the car runs and drives awsome and the faceplated hemi box from Passon performance makes pulling gears more fun. the first passes will be this weekend!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kzc5Cf1lTKkheres one of the passes from inside the car,track wasn't that great and it was 85 degrees but the best pass of the weekend was an 11.91 at 118, which was faster than I was expecting, couldn't be happier about how the car turned out. it looks better and is faster than I anticipated!!
