Anyone have a 1st gen dually running 235's vs 215's? I want to know if you used a spacer on rear? Pics would be great, I have a club cab and want to switch fm 215's to the 235's.

My '92 hauler had 235's when I bought it and there were visible signs of the sidewalls rubbing; when I replaced them with the same size I paid close attention thereafter and never saw any signs of rubbing. I can only assume that the previous owner didn't pay close attention to inflation pressures.

Dad took an old set of wheels that were bent and cut the centres out for spacers to keep the sidewalls off each other on his '92 when running 235s. Seemed to work OK for him.

I ran 235-85-r16's on my 92 custom built crew/club cab dually with a 11ft camper pulling a 28 ft trailer all over the country and never had tires rub. I always kept them inflated at max. You shouldn't have a problem. I would post a pic of it but it is in TN right now and I aam in Ca.
