The "old reliable"(?) MP SFI 8-bolt flexplate is apparently no longer offered, but I don't recall people complaining about them cracking.

The B&M 8-bolt flexplate doesn't appear to have much meat around the 7/16" converter bolt holes and, IIRC, has been known to crack as result of this.

I saw something about the Reactor brand, but those are aluminum and I'd think would have more potential for bolt-hole elongation issues (an unwarranted concern?).

What are the reliable 8-bolt flexplates available today?

Interesting... they do show the MP part still, although I'd heard they were no longer available.

Also noticed that CRT appears to sell the PRW version of the B&M round-style plate, only the PRW looks like it might have a little more meat around the bolt holes where the B&Ms are supposed to crack.

My car has had an ATI on it since before we owned the car and hasn't had an issue.

Had a B&M flex plate on my super stock hemi, and had real bad vibration problems, that my teeth felt like they were rattling out, on top end, and, shut down. Finally changed back to the MP SFI flexplate and all vibration problems went away. Gave that B&M flexplate away so i wasnt tempted to try it again. Never had a problem with MP flexplates. Not an 8 bolt, but I have a B&M flexplate behind my smallblock, and my engine builder balanced it.

Never had any issues with the B&M. Used the 6 bolt and 8 bolt version with a lot of power.

No problems with the 6-bolt, but I remembered people posting about the 8-bolt issues and IMO they do look like they need more material around the 7/16" holes.

While Olan seemed like a good guy he never could deliver on a special flex plate he said he could make for me. After he said he could not do it I never could get him to return the new SFI approved flex plate I had sent him for an example. I finally gave up. He was having some health issues at the time, if they have gotten better maybe his service has.
