Looking for the right color to repaint my Hemi engine. It was built by Maurice Petty for the King in 1970. I had sprayed it Race Hemi Orange but later realized it should be blue. Any help would be great.

I believe NAPA can mix it for you. It's called Petty Blue. Neat story on where the color came from. When Richard built his first car to race against his Dad (Lee) he didn't have enough paint of a different color than Lee's but he did have a little bit of white and a blue so he mixed them together to get enough to paint his car. Thus was born Petty Blue. Petty Blue

I believe you will find this true for the color on the car, not on the engine.

Well, My "genuine" Danbury Mint model of the superbird shows the engine to be Petty Blue and only the air cleaner to be ford blue.
But I don't know, I was just saying where petty Blue could be got. I like Hemi orange myself.
