I need to purchase a set of springs for 70 Duster. Would you recommend super stock spring, if the car will see less than 50% of time at the track? The car will have a 340 stroker engine. Any recommendations on brand would be greatly appreciated? I know my local dealership sells the spring from Mopar.

Would you recommend 2800lbs or 3-3200 lbs rated super stock springs for the Duster?

What do you want them to do?
How do you want the car to sit?

Mopars SS springs as thay come, 002 and 003 will sit higher on one side, unless you get two of the same pn, from what I've heard.I have not heard too many glowing reviews on the Mopar springs. Run a search for past threads.

I have seen mixed opinions on Caltracs on the street but no personal experience.

I went with Espo 1" over stock.
225-70R14 front and 275-60R15 rear. I think I would have liked 2" over stock better for the look, but no complaints about how they ride.

You're gonna get a lot of different answers, but you have to answer the two questions above first.

Good luck!

I always used the 002 and 003 SS springs on my A-bodies. I bought my last set for my sons Dart from Mancini and this is how his Dart sits with them. Not bad at all. If the car sits uneven which they all do you just adjust the front torsion bars to even out the car which I have also done many times. On my 63 B-body I used 3400 lb SS springs from Mancini but its a heavier car. I found the 002 & 003 which are 3000 lb SS springs work good for me on A-bodies. Ron
