I agree, as much as I love my Pro-Ratchet, a rear exit cable would be awesome. Although I did ditch the 5' cable for a 4' cable and that made life easier in my Duster. I also added a 3' heat sleeve for cheap from Summit for added protection.

Quicksilver here. Hated it with a full manual valve body on the street. Cant wait to try out the transgo shift kit I installed over the winter.

I use the pistol grip Quarter Stick with a T/A Cheetah Forward Manual Valve Body on the street and LOVE the way it works!

Managing the reverse lockout can be a pain but it's not like I have to reverse often anyway.

I have, however, installed the TransGo TF-2 in a lot of transmissions I've built for myself and other people and it works really well if you don't want to shift all the time. Used in conjunction with the high rpm upshift governor it makes for a nice setup on the street!

Well I was going to put a B&M Pro Ratchet in my GTX build but now I am leaning towards the PPP. The rear exit is too good to pass up.

How do you even put a front exit cable with a CSR shield? I have a Cheetah in my race car with the rear entry and it is wonderful to have the rear entry, but the Cheetah is not a street shifter.

I burnt 1 shifter cable using the pro ratchet.. that
was the very first cable.. it was a bit short and I
didnt cover it.. I was being brave.. since then I
use a longer cable and I DONT use the heavy duty one..
they are a lot stiffer and harder to bend to clear
things... but I heat wrap it just to be sure... never
burnt up another... I'll wrap it just so I can use
the shifter I like... this cable has been in there
14 years now

Been there done that. But my question is with the CSR shield right up against the floor boards, isn't the location where the shifter cable goes through the floor be in the same spot as the CSR shield? Is it possible to use a front exit shifter with the CSR shield?

I have a CSR shield and a front exit shifter. The hole in my floorboard is behind the rear of the shield...no problem there.

I run that shield also.. I forget where the cable
goes through the firewall but its not far from the gas
pedal.. so its outside of the shield.. on the Rampage
I have the cable on top of the carpet(for now) but
if it runs a year with this routing I will put it
under the carpet.. IF it burnt the cable I didnt
want to have to lift the carpet.. but I figure by
1 year I should know.. so far so good
EDIT
I do have a black cover over it now... but it will
go under the carpet if its good

I have put about 4500 miles on my car in the last few years with a cheetah shifter with a reverse valve body. I don't have any complaints.

I never cared for that PPP shifter... I could make
that in my shop...

Talk is cheap.... Let's see you do it.

Maybe Ray can beta test it.

The stock factory original console shifter. It still works good and I haven't worn it out yet.
