Anyone know what color silver the mast should be on a 69 sawtooth jack? I blasted mine for my A12 and I can not find a good match for the color. Anyone know in a rattle can form? thanks

I read that post and it is good stuff. I too think it is something under the paint too. I blasted it today and the media would take the top layer of silver off like butter but there was something under it that was MUCH tougher and took probably 2 hours of blasting to just get the mast all cleaned to bare metal. I wonder if it was plated and then someone painted the argent over it? It is not just plain paint on the bare metal though.

Anyone else have any experience with this when blasting a mast?
