As long as you use the same company you should be fine
This is the problem, original plater says they can't plate the part because it's a reproduction, manufacturer of the part says otherwise. I'm looking to send it to someone other than the original place and wonder if it will match when finished or not

Pauls chrome in Pa does Plastic Vacuum chrome now and it turns out nice, not cheap but reasonable for the quality.
I have bought from Special Ts out of Chicago area at shows and the finish was nice on the dash bezel I purchased but Im not sure if he Refinishes for customers or just finds the cores and sells his own stuff. I know he offers his anodizing services so he may do the vacuum plating too. I have seen some suspect quality in his booth before but it may have been a bad core to begin with, may want to do some research on it. At the same time, he does have some very nice stuff on display.

I agree, I've had excellent results from them, getting ready to send more out too, but they do have a long lead time.

How long is their turn around time? The parts I already had done were by Vacuum Orna-Metal in MI, turnaround was about 8 weeks

last time I used them the Turnaround was 12 weeks but I hit their peak Season and wasn't in a hurry either. Excellent customer service and if I needed the parts quicker they would have worked with me.

And now is the worst time of year to get anything done, like you said ,busiest season, anyone that waited until now should have had it done over the winter months.Sent my dash in Sept a year ago and was 12 weeks, would have been a month longer or more if I had waited until spring.
