I could use that for my van
It would be tough to build one for that, and it comes with a carb and ignition.

What scares me is I dont know who they are
I've ordered a bunch of parts from them but I haven't purchased an engine from them yet, they deal in mostly chevy stuff but they have some great deals every now and then on mopar stuff.

Competition Products is pretty stand up in my book. I have bought a fair amount of parts over the years......and I do mean years. I had one problem with getting the wrong part and their customer service was first rate. Made sure I was happy and things were taken care of. That was a dozen years ago , but they are still in business and that speaks volumes. They do a lot with Howards and Goodwin stuff , but they always get a look when I am shopping and they frequently have the best price. T&D dealer too.

May be a good candidate for a van engine but I for one would never pay 6000 dollars plus shipping for an engine with a 377 dollar cast stroker crank. For that much money I could piece together something a little more durable. Break the parts list down.

I agree, but if I'm reading it right is says "Free shipping w/purchases over $99.".
still not that great of a deal if you are capable of building it yourself. especially for a non race application.

For someone who doesn't (or can not for what ever reason) build an engine, this IMO is an excellent deal. Purchase, outfit, install, enjoy!
I agree. For this " type " of build, it isn't bad. I am not worried about the cast crank, there are thousands of them out there running without issue. I wouldn't hesitate. Not every engine or customer needs a full boogie race motor. The bulk of enthusiasts on this race forum might, or would assume so, but in reality, that's not the case when building as a business. Its a very diverse group, and you need to build to the need of the customer, just not build it " all out" everytime. I am guessing they didn't or don't sell enough of these, and they are simply " fire saling" what they have in inventory to move them. Just a guess however. Competition Products is a sidearm of Howards, more retail type sales. Good people from my experiences. I have no idea who builds their engines.
