Looks like T7 on the tag which is the tach code. As for the Inland, I think the rule is if there is a reverse light on the dash it was a Hurst car, I don't see the light so it appears to be an Inland car.
Hurst appeared later in the production run, maybe Feb or so, at least on B-bodies, it appears to be a 929 build date so ealry, again pointing to an Inland car.
Careful, your character's showing!

I think everyones got it covered! Although I'm not so sure about the HURST shifted cars not having a "REVERSE" light? 340 4-spd GTS - yellow w/black top, interior, stripes Is it an early LA car LS23P8 E10xxxx?

Have to check that number: 109334
Troy has 68 model year 340 from the Los Angeles plant (67 cast date). He just finished rebuilding the long block along with X heads, going to put it on a run stand, and then sell it.

The big question has been, on what date did the factory switch from the Inland shifter to the Hurst shifter for the 1968 model year?
Actually, I believe the big question was whether an inland came in 68's or not. Was answered yes. Several questions followed, including about the reverse light.
