As for the Inland, I think the rule is if there is a reverse light on the dash it was a Hurst car, I don't see the light so it appears to be an Inland car. Hurst appeared later in the production run, maybe Feb or so, at least on B-bodies, it appears to be a 929 build date so ealry, again pointing to an Inland car. Careful, your character's showing!

Although I'm not so sure about the HURST shifted cars not* having a "REVERSE" light?* 340 4-spd GTS - yellow w/black top, interior, stripes Is it an early LA car LS23P8E10xxxx? Actually, I believe the big question was whether an inland came in 68's or not. Was answered yes. Several questions followed, including about the reverse light.
