I know Diamond makes a bushing for this (shown in chart). Is installing this bushing for .990 as easy and pressing in the bushing and installing the pistons?

Or do the bushing need to be honed and shortened after installation at the machine shop, etc?

Years ago, I used to buy used Bill Miller rods from a local Pro-Mod guy. They changed them after 20 hits. Anyway, I used to bush them down with those bushings. After pressing them in, they will need to be honed and trimmed to rod width

You should have the rod pin fitted after the bushing
is pushed in
