I have blinkers and hazzards but no brake lights .I have power going up to the column on the white wire on both sides of the switch..

Check fuses. Also check the brake light switch located under the dash with a plunger that rests on the brake pedal arm. when the pedal is pushed to apply the brakes the plunger releases and electrical circuit is completed.

When the Brake pedal is depressed it closes the switch and sends the 12v power to the turn signal / hazard switch which the distributes the signal depending on the TS Hazard switch position.
First thing is to test the BL switch. Then follow the power through the column connector to the T/S switch. If the power is getting there next likely culprit is the T/S or hazard switch itself.

Once you have verified the Brake switch power at the switch, you can jumper it to the brown and green wires which are the output to the high filaments or Brake lights. MAKE SURE THE T/S switch is in the CENTER POSITION AND THAT THE HAZARD switch is OFF

(1) pink wire (think hot pink) at brake pedal switch should be hot all the time & if it ain't then check brake light fuse (2) white "out" wire from pedal switch to dangling connector under column should be hot when pedal is depressed (the switch closes) (3) seperate the ts/brake dangling connector halves under the column & on the col half there should be continuity between the white "in" wire and the 2 "out" wires with the stalk in neutral. www.mymopar.com will have the colors but with your meter on ohms there should be continuity between the white wire and 2 others only. this'll confirm or deny that the TS switch assy/pigtail is functioning or not. EDIT always a good idea to pull a batt cable BEFORE switching the meter to ohms

You need to ground the tail lights. Some tail lights (R/T) have a ground on the back of the tail lights that is grounded to the bumper mount and to both sides of the trunk side marker lights. The ground wire is on the left had side.



If not the (R/T) style, still Ground to side marker

If it has flashers then it has the grounds.
Like stated before check the fuse and brake light switch. Could be the EM flasher switch. That switch interrupts the brake light circuit and transfers the brake lights to the EM flash circuit. Those switches do wear out. I just changed one on a 71 Charger a couple months ago and fixing to change one on a 67 Chevelle. Have changed several over the years.

The thing that sticks out right behind the ignition switch.

Check under the mat in the left side of the trunk and see if any of the wires going into the connector have been broken by objects moving around inside the trunk over the decades.

If I remember correctly from my 71 Sebring, the brake lights are powered through a wire that also goes into and out of the radio connector. Been a long time so that might have been the flashers and not the brakes. Mine had a cutoff radio connector and when I put that back on I had the lights again.
