Well it worked on my RT but I could get it to work on your's either.

I'll fill in what I think I knew,

The 48 under axle code is 4=3.23 8=sure grip

The paint is I believe bronze metalic/root beer/ FK5 like - MM1

The upper door frames are gold - the Y under the U

The 164855 is the sequence number and should be on the core support and the driver trunk rail, not sure about the cowl on 68s

m6 shows to be driver's outside mirro
A1 shows to be a 26 inch radiator

I think it's an alignment thing, I did better than you but I will work on it some more.

I think it interesting:
912 = Scheduled Production Date: Tuesday, September 12, 1967
164855 = Shipping Order Number

seems like it would be an earlier shipping order #. Car has to be one of the first hemi runners built... Are 68's coded for export?

I know of 5 from Lynch Rd. that are 912 or earlier, it is the earliest I know of from St. Louis. It was on MOPARTS ~5 years ago.

The S.O.#s are almost random due to the number of sources for new car orders. Yes, '68 tags code "EXPORT".

WAG they had to be around 3,000 Road Runners & 50+ HEMI Road Runners by mid-September '67.

Can anybody please post a pic of how should my cars interior look? Im specially interested to see how the gold paint on the doors should look.

Im clueless on how should i paint and detail the inner door shells.

Also, I guess the exterior should be completely bronze monontone? No blackout on the hood or anything? Was the blackout an option on the 68 Hemi RRs?

Thanks!

Yes, exterior all MM1. Inner door panels will be the tan metallic above & below the trim panel, entire inner door from top to bottom and in the front, bordered by the weatherstrip. MM1 color on the other side of the weatherstrip. Hard-line it along/between weatherstrip clip holes. Center area of the inner door (where the access openings are) was barely covered. Fairly glossy finish, but less glossy than exterior.
I don't know that the "hood patch" for '68s was on the tag, should be on the track (aka Broadcast) sheet if so equipped. Optional. Ehrenberg at Mopar Action will have the schematic; hood "scoops" were included in the blackout scheme if so equipped. Your car may also be coded for a pinstripe, as my Decor Group '68 was; check your track sheet. Decor Group cars essentially got the Satellite interior; non-Decor cars got the Belvedere coupe interior. Check the Hamtramck Historical site for the Option & Trim Guide info. RR Decor Group started when the HT RRs came along mid-cycle. Yours is an early car: mine has SPD of 9/30 and its SO# is 130XXX.
Looks like you're doing a beautiful job on it!

Performance hood paint & pin stripes were on '68 fender tags - this one does NOT have either.

D4L coupe interior were the original door "cards" two-tone & these reproductions mono-tone or are these correct for the "parchment & tan" RR interior?

My silver & black interior are 1 color (silver), and my blue interior's were 1 color as well (blue). Both original non-Decor '68 cars. I always wonder about the 2-tone ones, but have never seen an original car with them.
