Hey --
I need to replace the cowl seal.
Who sells a correct one with the upper part of the seal opened and in the correct direction? towards the engine compartment.
I currently have a reproduction and the opening is on the windshield side and not the engine side.
Thanks in advance.
Bill
Got me a NEW Project 1970 GTX 440+6, 4 spd, 4.10 Dana and N96 FE5 (top/bottom) and black bucket interior. Original transmission and Dana - Engine is a service replacement block.
Body has all stamped #s + VIN/TRIM tag and door sticker. Been hunting like all hell to find the Build Sheet.
garage find, only had 41,850 miles on ODO.

more than likely so
but its been on the car so long I fear it has taken shape the wrong way. Plus - the material and feel of it is wrong... just seems really cheesy
I took a look at one of the seals from Detroit Muscle and it looks 1000% better. for $40 its worth changing it..
Thanks for the suggestion..

I remember the replacement seal I got was wrong and seemed smaller than original? Mostly I noticed it didn't have the metal attaching clips molded into it. So I cleaned up my original and re installed it and tossed the replacement. Good to know Jim Filmore is making a better part.
