aar1 OP super stock A Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 788 middle of the country	I have a set of old (original ?) used 440 pistons and connecting rods. Other than scrap, are they good for anything? They all "look" fine except one of the pistons has a chunk missing from the skirt. I just didn't know if they are just trash or what............ thanks!!

Not saying you are one of those guys that ask a ton for your stuff but how often have we seen: "All original 375hp 440 wedge magnum connecting rods! Came out of a good running engine! Act fast- at $300 they wont last!" Keep old mopars alive.

RapidRobert Circle Track R Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 36,040 Lincoln Nebraska	To a fellow "husker", I bought a set for $40 (rods only) & I just saw a set(w pistons) on here for $20 + the shipping(from another state) & you'd have to pay to get the pistons pressed off. EDIT they most likely need the big end rebuilt & a set is generally worth $50-$60 somewhere in that area & there are new rods available fairly cheap nowadays. You sure it wasn't my ad here on Moparts that you saw selling them for $20? I went ahead and put them in the engine section to see if they are worth anything to anyone. I'm not going to use them and don't have the ambition to do anything "creative" with them............
