Big Bad Bee OP I Live Here Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 10,938 Spokane Valley, WA	I got my mini starter from a V-8 Durango. The power lug is right up against the block. Starter bolts up great otherwise. Is there a fix for this or have I got the wrong starter? I could trim the tip of the bolt off about 3/16" but I'm concerned about arcing. I’m listening.

steve660 enthusiast Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 289 Lowes	Just cut down the lug. Also use a thinner nut, no washers and maybe sand/narrow the round end of the battery cable. PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure. ..... Now its a door stop....

Also use a thinner nut, no washers and maybe sand/narrow the round end of the battery cable. that's another thing I did used a narrower nut and replace the cable end with a copper one ,they are much tinner than the stock one you have.you can aklso just grind down a nut to make it tinner,just make sure you face the unground side down.I HEAR YA ABOUT THE HEADERS.

Vernon, Ohio	There is a different one that has the lug in a different spot a little further away from the block, run into that with the 440 in my old motorhome took it back to the parts house and swapped it for a different year if I remember correct and it worked just fine. Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

I think the issue here is that the OP is playing with a BB and yes I had a clearance issue when I was building mine... no problem on any SB
