How big a deal is it to add a roof mounted air conditioner to an enclosed trailer? I have been looking for a trailer with air but that limits the choices. Anyone done this before?

If the trailer is prepped meaning the roof is reinforced and the wiring is up there its a piece of cake. If it is not prepped and the interior is finished it is tough. Look for a trailer that is prepped and it is almost plug and play.

I replaced my AC unit 2 years ago.. it does need the
reinforcement around the unit and the power up to it..
the switch on both of mine was built into the AC unit
so it just needed the 120v... also I dont know if
you sleep in your trailer but IF you do put in the
AC look at the ones with the heater built in.. if you
are in any northern areas

I know it might be a little "Larry the Cable Guy" but, I've been thinking of doing something like this with mine. Window AC units are way cheaper and I believe take less power to run than rv units

that would look much better mounted inside in a fabbed box with a grill on the outside, plus nobody could steal it...

SFI 25.5 depends,no leak,even at 213 mph....

Like previous mentioned if prewired and braced it is easy to do and link below is the best price I found when I bought mine.

I just bought two Coleman Mach 3 13,500btu units from a guy in KY. He was cheaper than anywhere I found on line if you interested in his number, pm me and I will get it for you.

If the trailer isn't insulated, tough for a ac unit to keep up when its really hot out
