My combo is built for street and pump gas as well. A bit milder than some here. I like building my own. 4.5 X 4.5 K1 crank and rods, CP 10.5 pistons, Stage V heads (CNC by MCH) comp solid roller by Dwayne Porter, about .670" lift and 270* 112 LSA mild lobe cam, Stage V rockers Indy intake. Just changed to Gen III 1050 Dominator from 1050 Race Demon 4150. No test results on the new carb swap. Milodon dual line pick up. Will be trying a cross ram RR intake eventually. HP is unknown. Mark
1996 Ram 1500 Sport 1968 road runner 1952 Sears Allstate licensed, pump gas, Hemi 5.98 @ 115.73 1.33 60 ft. The best is yet to come. Painless Performance / Street RODDER magazine Top 100 for 2019

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the comments. I really want to build my own engine as well, and these posts are definitely helping me be a much more educated shopper.
i built mine, but the last thing i wanted to do was end up with an engine of mismatched components. there may be another time coming, but i figured i was only going to do this once. i spent time on the phone with tim banning at FHO, and we talked about exactly what i wanted from this engine. he then assembled the list of parts, including a cam that he designed, (herb (scatpk) also used this cam), and sent everything off to me.
i then shopped around for everything else, and it all came together nicely!

572" Hemi (4.5" bore x 4.5" stroke). Built it myself. KB block, Callies crank, Oliver billet steel rods, 11:1 Diamond pistons. Custom solid roller by Dwayne Porter...276°/284° at .050", .672"/.651" lift. Really mild lobes for street durability. CNC ported MP aluminum heads by MCH. DLI roller rockers. Ray Barton single 4500 intake w/ a Pro Systems 1200 cfm dominator. 2.25" primary, 4" collector TTI headers. 4" exhaust. 727 w/ 9" 5k stall, 4.10 Dana, Caltracs, 295-65 drag radials. Pushed my 3850 lb. cuda to 9.54 at 140.4 mph, 1.320 sixty foot (footbraking). On pump 93 octane. Should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 825 hp.
Now at over 3900 lbs., but w/ nitrous, I'm hoping to get an 8 sec timeslip this year. Went some 9.30s last year spinning the tires.

Here's mine........... The big box under the bench is a new World block. The 2 white boxes are MP/Edelbrock heads ported and assembled by MCH. And I have a Barton intake, DLI rockers, Direct Connection valve covers and assorted other goodies. Just need to put the coins together for the reciprocating assembly and cam, lifters, etc. Probably something like 540" with a 250*ish solid roller cam for street/strip. Didn't get it done last year, maybe 2015 is the year?
Master, again and still

If I'm not mistaken you're the first to post about the Edelbrock heads. What do you think of them?

i dont have the cnc victor jr...would of love to try but were not out when i built...always curious to think what it would could of done...and jeez racemart has cnc victor jr for 821.00$ per head..one day:) but i cant complain...my head port alignment was so unbelievably perfect. i took a imaging camera to each one and every port cause i was so amazed that everything was so money on..what i think made my motor shine was the valvetrain...i have barton rollers rockers along those new ultra lightweight elite solid roller lifters with pushrod oiling....but overall its a very gentle true street combo being ultra light weight..475lbs i just fired it off last week..so need this snow to melt cause im dying to play
