I was going through a parts box and ran across this aluminum tag. Is it a tag that would go under the data code plate? It has paint on it and the only Challenger I've owned that was the plum crazy color was a 1970 hardtop with a 318. That was about 1980. Thanks.

Yep, inspection tag, it would have been under (& shared a screw) with the fender tag.

Thank you. I thought that's what it was. I'm cleaning out parts boxes and throwing away things no longer needed. I've come across some VIN tags that I'm trying to figure out what to do with them - probably cut up and throw out. I need room and am making headway. Some parts, I simply don't know what they are exactly - what year and engine size such as carb linkages. I only know they're from e-bodies. Thanks.
