Even the clutch pedal in my 1992 Dakota sits higher than the brake pedal.

Many Thanks for all your responses. I think i`m going to install the column this morning and do a dry run electrical test and hope for the best. My 6 pack engine arrives shortly and i`ll fasten that and the 4 speed together to the K member and slip these in from the bottom. I would have liked to post some pics but i can`t figure out how and i`m not that good on the comp. If you`d like a pic or two i can do that by email anital@eagle.ca Thanks Again to Moparts !!

I would imagine that, after you do the electrical test to make sure everything works, you'll remove the column before installing the K-frame/engine/trans/steering gear. Otherwise, you may have some trouble getting the K-frame to line up without bumping into the the bottom of the column shaft on the steering box input shaft. I plan on doing mine this way as well, but haven't done it yet. Just seems like it could be an issue. Others have installed from bottom before and chime in with their experiences.

well, our pedels are way offset also. everything appeard to be original to the car before we restored it. and again, there wasn't any more room for adjustment for the break pedel to come forward. the car is a 70 charger with power drums
