Your not the first to have clearance issues with a full size or longer than the truck bed camper, my current trailer had holes in the front from the former owners camper jack feet hitting and piercing the front panels, both sides A freind of mine locally with a 10 ft cab over camper had the same problems on is 24 ft Pace, he ding up both sides also

My 24' is to the start of the v so that area is extra storage. Without the v I wouldn't be able to fit my toolbox with the golf cart. If your cart will fit sideways you should get a ramp door on the left front no matter what you buy, that was the best thing I did, makes getting the cart in and out a breeze.

A "V" nose moves your tongue weight back slightly (unless you fill the V with buckshot).
When it's really needed: when the tow vehicle's X-area at the hitch is much smaller than the trailer body (like an open pickup bed).
Not as much help: behind an RV.

BTW: the sharp V is just easier and cheaper to build, the most streamlined shape is a small curved nose, with increasing radius (not a sharp angle) as it joins the flat sides.

One of my trailers is a Horton 28'v nose. It has 28 feet of clear floor space and pulls much easier than the flat nose trailers I have. 80 plus mph with zero wind turbulence. The flat nose trailers are for me troublesome to pull above 70 mph no matter what I'm pulling with unless the pull vehicle is as tall as the trailer. Then it doesn't matter.

I see who I should have asked for pre marital advice. Now I know

I believe the Flat and the v nose have nearly the same frontal area, it's the drag coefficient that is reduced.

I also believe , and can't recall the exact reasoning for it, but the more efficient shape ( the v nose) is more prone to cross wind effects.

I never had a wind issue with my V-nose trialer..
even with 35 mph winds... just had to watch the
bridges for ice... LOL... that can and will catch
your attention.... but I sold my trailer and sleds

The cross wind problem I'm thinking is there is slightly more frontal area exposed to the slight cross wind with a V nose, and that area can be further in front of the trailers cOG relative to a flat front, which induces greater sway. Obviously every towing combination will react differently.

Yeah I always checked my COG the first time loading
to make sure it had good tongue weight on all of my
trailers... hell right now I own 11 trailers.. one
for everything
