The Kids starting College , I have one unfinished project .. But this FAST class is so cool .. So Ill just drop in this motor complete in my Kframe and whip some but .. Ha Ha .. Everything is so Easy ..

The Only reason Im starting this post is because its way too cold outside ..  We had to start an air grabber factory with all the stuff going on .. The BEA stuff is OK , but it is not like for like with the original stuff.

By the way Im gonna write a book on how to waste money while restoring a car .. or how to restore a car backwards .. or something of the sort .. Im gonna be rich .. If you guys only knew what I went through before i gave in and agreed to let the car get painted ..  pinstriping , color matching , etc etc .. By the way . you guys with winches got it made .. Whielk I was letting my beer muscles relax .. I figured Id take a shot to let you know how good you have it with that Warn winch .

Looks like they had enough paint left over to put a stripe on the wall. J/K, looks great!! I'll have to cruise up and check out your collection now that I'm off for the winter and extremely bored... as long as you and Quad don't haze me.

really wanted to try the amd patch panels . i really couldnt justify $ 369 each  My poor pinstripe just got back from the shop to spray out a panel .. cant any paint supplier get it right the ev2 looked like diarrhea .. i returned the paint to the ppg salesmans home doorstep at 9:20 PM friday nite .. guess what hes remixing saturday morning on his wifes birthday and day off

hemi is in the real kframe .. ( should listened to you John RR ) everything was parallel right off the bat and set the motor back 1/2" on my jig than with the schumaker and arruzza mounts .. paint match was done this am i hope the wife and kid let me roll up my sleeves and get to work at home

The kframe and hemi slid in like planned , finally a level engine .. I still had to pull the valve cover on the passenger side .. I have to assume they did that in the factory , i just dont see how the steering box would clear without shifting the engine to the passenger side as far as possible .. rear end went in , wheels on drive shaft safety hoop The hemi kframe pushed my engine back one whole inch .. arruzzas mounts would not clear the battery tray , and neither did shumakers .. I really thought my car was tweaked .. Nothing really beats this real hemi kframe ..

havent laid it out yet but the more info the better ., I cant beleive the abuse . after all the effort and aggravation with the 440 kframe schumaker arruzzas and now the real hemi kframe ,.. I found a REAL hemi kframe 15 miles from my house .. needless to say I bought it ,, he also happened to have 71 bbody stuff got near to nOS 71 gtx wheel opening mouldings too from the same guy .. Original takeoffs

runs and drives and idles Quite nicely tomorrow will be the shakedown ride .. no major leaks . All seems to be holding up .. It paid off to do a couple things over and take my time on other things , she started with one blip of the key and idled

Tom Had a great weekend without showing off some burnouts , However when everyone left the track Dudek showed me how it should be driven .. I need some instrumentation to get it perfect .. and because I have to make stuff difficult , Ill have the laptop next to me showing me my lack of fuel pressure through the LM1 ... I cant believe I may need to put two pumps in  I think this is the nicest pic Ive ever taken . Wish I wouldnt have had the fuel pressure gage ducttaped to the window , can anyone photochop that out ?

havent posted since maple grove been up to my ankles in work , family , etc .. since maple grove , i simplified my fuel system wih a deadhead aeromotive pump repiped and seems to work ok installed a nordskopf fuel gage that can trigger the kenne belle if the fuel pressure gets low and triggers a lite on the tach . msd in the heater box put in a kenn belle boostapump to the msd and fuel pump new/used leaf springs with front lowering hangers I figured that i would have a baseline to start from at carlisle so i didnt ballast the trunk . Smoke all the way down the track . it was fun though .. so i hope anyone doesnt think that a killer hemi and a nice paint job will get you a trophy . lots of r &d left ...  Not too many participants at the race for the shootout ... come on guys use these cars what they were built for !

real ag setup on this one ... but you can cut your own hood and get parts from mike at http://www.beaparts.com/OR http://www.n96airgrabber.com/search for wilsons retorations also .. you can probably get Everything , Original you need for less than 3K ( expensive ) Or probably less than 1600 NIC hood , you can modify a flat hood .. This is a picture of an air grabber factory If youre creative with sheetmetal , you can definitely cut your own hood.

the wilwoods stop the 2 tons well .. i forgot after installing the wilwood setup now its 3900 # it saved some weight .. , not a hundred but its considerably lighter than stock ..

4080 - 225 (  ) Oh and Tom Cannon smoked me - three times technically , actually I smoked myself .. The best I could do was 12 and small change .. Dave ran it to 11.84 for me on a hot lap . I have a lot of things to square away , Best Time I had in a while .. Martin was a blast. If I didnt spend so much time cooling the car down between runs -coulda made a zillion passes during test and tune ..  Martin was a great time .. The track wasnt as sticky as we wished but , it was fun ..

Nationals came and went , cant find the time slip but car went a 11.80 something .. and it WAS HOT out. You cant just put a big motor in and expect to go fast. So after watching and learning for the past two years , I hope to see consistent 11.50's with a few weight savings and some winter modifications to the engine and some more camo so Mr Cannon can become VERY familiar with GTX tailite bezels. ( If I had Toms rt's , I could put a 440 back in it , I need some serious seat time, so if I cant react quickly enuff, I hope some more HP and weight will smoke the competition ) I have some serious weight saving strategies for the winter. Hope to be skinny in the spring. Wish I could play some more this year , But have to get to work on the Sunroof Car and pay attention to some other junk. To be continued Spring 2011.

Killing some timee here , well time flies, more family health/funeral(s),etc issues put a damper on play time. Im trying to be supportful and pay attention to home stuff and figures - weve also been buried at work. update 2011 Decided winter 2010 that the engine had to come out. Dave built a more aggressive motor for me and It worked out well. Except you NEED race gas to go anywhere .. IF you want to play on the street . Two times out a year is not enuff fun. If you want to chance driving a race motor on the street for a distance . http://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/DaveDudek/?action=view¤t=100_7351.mp4So it runs good but i couldnt leave well enuff alone. New 8 3/4 with a spool New cal trak monoleafs The car is now an animal. More than ever before. So I Get to carlisle, and spun the balencer. Spent WAY too much time realizing what had happened. Couldnt guess at the timing , BUT I decided to run it anyway ....  Guess who i get paired up with again fOr the slippery 1/8th , Tom c. ....... Almost killed myself on that track. Couldnt get the car to run right and guessed on the timing. So i didnt abuse it. ( when i gOt home and swapped dampeners i realized i was at 5 deg initial- maybe 12 total lol... ) So as I look at my orange boat anchor that needs loads of race gas to run . And a shiny convertible with blown head gaskets ( figures special order pushrods now necessary , knew I shouldnt have rebuilt the heads . ) (im sure Ill have it together at first snowfall I guess Ill have to suffer and beat up on my rusty challenger ... Got the GTX's Polyglas' on it and they suck at high speed but they're fun for burnouts .. Snow is coming .. gotta go drive before it starts snowing ... MAybe if the weather holds .. Ill be able to squeak one 1/4 this year , If not - Im in suspense for a whole winter . BUT Chapter THREE ( MAYBE i SHOULD CALL IT 4 ) coming to a beginning ... Another distraction, but a keeper .. This one WILL be streetable at all times ..
