My Duster's getting nothing but the best...RMS AlterKtion! My helper agrees, it's the best setup out there!

I have no complaints about my Comp Chassis piece.... and it doesn't have those gawd awful rails protruding into the engine compartment as seen with the Alter K. Header builder complimented that feature... Mike only does them "in house" and they are a "race" piece where the Alter K does have it's street attributes.

I am sorry I just don't care for square tubing, don't think it looks nice.

hands down the alterkation in my opinion is the best. strong enough for the street and engineered for race car speeds.
It fits onto the stock square frame rails seamlesly and leaves the most room of any of them for the engine. also made my belly pan fit easier. Did i mention how stable my car is at....?

and that my car sits looooow

I agree but even the round-tube style have so many little gussets welded in they look like a giant spider web!

The problem is the bottom of the frame rails aren't flat so they can't just lay a piece against it. And the LCA would likely hit on compression. So they end up having to put all those intrusive pieces in the engine compartment.

Here's a shot of the MF kit under my 1964 HEMI Dodge. No issues with installation and driveability was good.

Looks good, note to op you can see his LCA is bent too. All of them I have seen are bent there. The biggest problem I see with your is the steering rack and tie rods.

This pic was taken on a lift, so when it was down on the ground the tie rods ends were horizontal. No bump-steer to speak of.

I never questioned the lower arm?

Did some work on it today...
Milled the mounts on the r&p to move it to the rear about .4". Things improved but not good. So next is to move the lower arms alittle forward (only very little possible) and grind a small notch to move the r&p downwards (again only a small amount) then install adj steering stops and finally mill the upper shock mounts to decrease downward travel.
I think that that together will work.
Might still rub the dust boots but that i can live with.
As far as for track width im thinking of milling the mounting surface of the wheels and the hubs. About 1/8" on both.
Maybe that will be enough...

No the op has cut and welded or bent tie rod rack situation going on. Yours looks good, have always like the look of MF front ends. Heard to many bad stories to give them a try.

I'm sure the OP had his tie rods bend on a full turn..
the rack ball bottomed out and bent... even looking
at the pic he showed it looks bottomed out(angle)

To me, it seems like his steering arm is changed causing the interference problems. Hard to see with these pics.

Oh sorry should have said outlaw 10.5 car as they have smoothed factory fire walls. Do like the aftermarket steering column and race brakes and no radiator in front of car!

Hey BigTime, can you post a pic of your engine bay in race trim?

Thanks
