What would it take to make a 904 work behind a 1992 3.9. It was a 5 speed that has a bearing going out. I have a good 904 that I know will bolt up but what would it require to make it drivable besides the linkage. Would it take a 318 or 360 flex plate, torque converter ect?

V6 flex plate if you are keeping the EFI.

Get the kickdown cable and bracket from an a-500 dakota or van, also some vans were still being made with a 904 in that time frame.

Is it 2wd or 4wd?

you will have to make a hole in the bellhousing for the crank sensor---also knock out the steel donut that holds the pilot bearing in place---if you dont the trans wont match up and wont bolt together without breaking something....a 904 is just a 500 without overdrive...

It's a 2 WD

So do I use a 360 torque converter or knock the weights off it like a 318?

No external weights. Use the V6 318 or 360 converter with the big weights knocked off.
