Hi, I am looking for a fellow member on here that was selling aftermarket hood springs that have a softer spring rate not to harm a fiberglass hood but yet strong enough to hold up a stinger flat hood with one of their hurst style scoops on it. If anyone knows who that member is can you please pm me? Thank you:)

I have Harwood springs on my 66 Coronet hood. Just buy the ones that are the closest length wise to the stockers.

He's had those posted for sale every month for the past ten years, shouldn't be hard to find - unless he finally sold them !!!

Funny you should mention that ... every time I looked at those "light a-body hood springs" that's what I thought they were !!!

Stanton I have looked through the last to months of parts for sale. He either sold them all or no longer has them for sale.

I wonder if the window springs would have enough tension to hold the hood/plus scoop up?

Yes,my buddy used a pair(not sure what year) for his 68 dart with the six pack scoop. Trial and error bending the tang till the right pressure for lift is right
