Hey folks,

I'm trying to finish a 70 Cuda and I have the drivers side outside mirror pedastal but no head. Can I swap out with a 71-74 mirror head or do I need to find an expensive 70 e body mirror? Will anything else work? I heard many moons ago about A body head working but I cannot recall. Any help appreciated as my nagging wife(yes, it's hers) has about had it with the hole in the driver side door.

You can put your base on a 70-6 A-body sport mirror or a '70 b-body sport mirror. 71-4 have larger mirror heads...or just buy the whole mirror for 70-e-body..

70 mirrors are a one year model. The heads are more squat with a pronounced edge in the middle. Also the passenger mirror is wider ( no convex glass back then). The bases for both are shorter than 71 and up.
