Is anyone aware of the detent roller being available separately? The hinges for my 72 Duster are in vgc except for the detent wheels and the springs. I would rather not spend 200.00 on new lower hinges if I can help it. Thanks.

Go here:

and search for door hinge rebuild kit. Costs $44, and it's the correct way to rebuild your hinges. The kit includes S springs. Other kits that provide additional bushings that require drilling and modifying the hinge are not good, not long lasting.

Then call or email Rick and ask him if he can supply detent rollers from his junk pile to go with the kit. Maybe he'll make you a deal.

Looks like the roller shaft is swaged on the back side, if yours is like a '69 A body. Maybe you can press it out?

You might need to drill a center hole in the back side of the shaft so that the upset material that was swaged at the factory has a place to retreat when pressing it out.

I have pins & wavy washer available for the detent rollers. The rollers themselves are hardened and don't wear, the pin they spin on does.
The ones I sell have to be welded. (Instructions included).

I just saw brand new lower hinges listed in the A-body parts section. Rick Ehrenberg has them for $62 a pair.

That's a great price on those hinges. I'm thinking this will be my solution. Thanks for everyone's responses.
