Does anynone know if the 1973 charger se was available as a hardtop coupe? I always thought they only came with vinyl top and louvered rear quarter window treatment, but there is a guy selling a 73 se brougham with factory sunroof and power windows/seats. Can anyone elaborate on this charger with these options? It just doesn't add up to what I know, but then again I don't know everything Thanks

Yes the SE could be a hardtop. If it's a real SE the VIN should start with WP23.

No longer taking $h!t from anyone!

Thanks, this is supposed to be an original se with factory sunroof, power windows, and power seats. clean car and seems too good to be true so needless to say I am pretty skeptical. But I am making the 6 hour drive in case it is real.

That is one rare 73 Charger SE if it has the hardtop treatment to go along with power windows (4 instead of 2) and a sunroof

To the best I can remember there wasn't a 73 SE Charger that was other than the 3 opera window w/vinyl top. I bought one new in Oct. 1972 from the local Dodge dealer. The three opera window configuration was the only way an SE came.
I've seen other 73 Chargers being sold as SE's with a hardtop configuration (no opera windows, or vinyl top) but I really don't think that Chrysler made them that way from the factory as true SE's. I don't know about the 74's.
The SE always came with the rally dash, fender, hood, and rear deck chrome trim. The grill always had the red inserts and the edges of the taillight lens were trimmed with silver paint.

I've seen a couple, one green and one dark gray with the regular roof. Dark gray one had a white top and was really sharp looking, was in northwest Louisiana in the mid to late 70's.

So if it doesn't have the opera window, the only way to tell is the VIN and the large round SE badges and hood ornament. Hood ornament is easy enough to add, but the ones on the C-pillar? How do those attach?

FWIW, I've never seen one billed as an SE that didn't have the opera treatment.

Just 73 SEs got that hardtop option, not anymore in 74s.

I have seen several of those on the web... here is one:
