"something is spraying on the front drivers side of the engine" Hope it is not a head gasket leaking from that side of the motor Mike

something is spraying on the front drivers side of the engine ... not sure where it's coming from ... there's not really anything over there! White deposits from... something.
Bring it to OT, and get the pressure-tester out...

anti-freeze/water?
Those plugs would be steamed clean if that was the case.

... Or oil additives. I have seen similar on an engine with lose valves, poor seals and high oil consumption.

That's what I'd do, pump it up to 15 when hot and do a compression test. I believe that'll uncover something
can you please explain? I thought the pressure tester was for the cooling system? How will doing a cooling system pressure check while doing a compression check show something?

I guess that you missed the post regarding the white specks on the engine and it possibly being a coolant issue. A cooling system pressure check may display a leak which may have led to the white specks.

OK... I can understand how doing a cooling system pressure check would help determine if that's an issue.. but how could doing a compression check at the same time show something? Just trying to understand what I'd be looking for ...thanks!

Cal we were sayin to do the compression test AND the coolant pressure test (not at the same time). Not sure if the plug ain't firing or if it is fouled but I'd toss another one in (other 7 wouldn't hurt also) & see how it acts & I'd still do the pressure and compression tests cuz didn't you say earlier that something up front was sprayin out on the fender? EDIT I reread & it DID sound like I was sayin to do both at the same time
