Well it's been a long wait but I finally got the Demon of my dreams! I found this car for sale right here on Moparts about 5 years ago. I was short on funds at the time and couldn't buy it, but the next best thing, I handed it over to a friend of mine that could and he bought it. My friend Stew Smith and I flew down to California January 23rd 2009 (at which time a record cold snap had just descended onto the Western states) and drove the Demon through 0 degree temps, frozen roads, and snow, all with no heater, no wipers, and (no brains!) all the way to Spokane. It was a miserable but epic road trip! Now 5 years later, Stew offered the car to me, we struck a deal and it is now in my garage. Future plans include driving it, a LOT! Maybe a repaint and some other small stuff later on.

No, it's not a survivor type car, it's a nice rust free Califrnia car that's got an older repaint in the original color in it's past, still looks pretty good for a driver, just not up to snuff enough to be show worthy. It's got a 530hp/510tq W2 headed, roller cam, 422 stroker 340 (bored with a 4.00" crank) in it now, 3.91's, etc....Fast ride for sure! The #s block came out when he bought it to preserve it, it came with the car and is safely bagged and under the bench.

This explains why the cars in your garage got shuffled around.
Yes, ONE of the reasons.....
That's one more than the little birdy told me...

scott, you have a car I would like to find some day to go with my GY3 71 cuda 340 4spd. One 71 demon went by my house the other day (curious yellow, black v top, all restored, perfect looking) and I almost jumped in my car to run it down. Definitely the best color combo as far as I am concerned! congrats!
67 hemi GTX silver 4spd, 70 cuda convert 340 4spd, 71 cuda 340 4spd (Curious Yellow, white billboards/interior), 70 Mr Norm's Challenger 440 4spd

Did the craigslist '71 340 Duster recently sell?
Sorry, which one? (if you mean the yellow one of mine in the pic below which was on ebay, yes it's sold to a fellow member, just not shipped yet).
On the green car. Same friend who bought the yellow car above asked me to keep an eye out for a good car for his sons first Muscle Car. I found it a month or two later (about 3-4 years ago), in an obscure CL ad with very little info, took a shot and drove over to St. Maries Idaho to check it out. Turns out it was purchased new about a mile from where I live in Spokane at Dishman Dodge. The guy who had it bought it from the original owners (man & a woman, both named Jerry!). I bought the car on sight and called Stewart about it, told him I'd rather keep it for myself as I thought I was going to look at a clone (perfect car for a kid) but realized it's #'s status and had to rethink things). I decided to keep my word to him and let him buy it, REALLY tough decision let me tell you! At any rate, he bought it and made some improvements since, it's a really nice little car. Kid has now left home and bought a more practical daily driver car so now the Demon is on the block, he asked me to sell it for him so I am.
Details on the car:
It's 1971 340 4 speed, tach, 3.91's, all numbers match. B&W plaid bench seat, manual disc brakes, manual steering, no A/C, non hood scoop car so all green with the black stripes. 3 owner car, all still alive, fender tag, no sheet, never rusty, never hit hard, repainted with some misc. touch ups. Original engine was pulled to preserve it, replacement stock stroke 340 was built to make it a stout driver (dyno'd at 350hp on pump gas, looks stock runs better). Has a restored dash cluster not installed yet, new Legendary seat covers not installed yet. 25K firm. I don't currently own this one, I'm just selling it for my friend. It's NOT a show car, just a 5 footer driver with has no hidden issues, it's a rare and hard to find car with these options so it's pricey but reasonable all things considered.
I realize that this is turning into an ad, please send further correspondence to my email or Pm. I will be posting a formal ad in the appropriate places later.
Now, back to the Yellow car

So far no big plans, too much going on for me right now, I took it in trade for some $ someone owed me. It's a rust free, damage free roller, original uncut Dana 60, K-member and all under hood stuff is still factory. Someone way back in time swapped out the ENTIRE interior (dash and all) from a 66 Satellite and added some Satellite badging to the body, otherwise it's just a run of the mill Hemi 4 speed 1966 BelvedereII with old worn away vintage white paint graphics over the factory red paint, it's never been caged, tubbed or cut in any way. The rear wheels are non original steel 15.00" x 7.00" and the fronts have been narrowed to 15.00" x 4.00". Weird car for sure. I will probably leave it as is and put a Hemi drive drain back in it for some street driving.
