OK, have a 2011 Ram w/54K miles. It set a trouble code today, P0016 (Crankshaft position-camshaft positino correlation bank 1 sensor A, and P000B (Exhaust B camshaft position slow response bank 1). Sounds like the beginning of trouble with the variable valve timing feature. Anyone familiar with this? Thanks in advance.

When is the last time you changed the oil? Did you put the proper weight oil in? Dirty oil or the improper weight will do that.

Some times a quick hiccup will turn on the check engine light and after a certain amount of start ups with out the problem reoccurring it will turn it out. So they do kind of fix themselves.
My 2003 hemi ram 1500 (88,000 miles) will do that from time to time. It will be hard to start and then run very rough for a few seconds. Then all is good and the check engine light comes on but after a few more starts it goes off.

At that age and mileage, it still has really good trade in value. But it will soon be past its prime, and the value will plummet. I'd trade it in now, and thus don't worry about all the electronics going haywire. Theres killer deals to be had on 2014 rams now.
