When you wrote "Strut front clip", my heart sank, and my first thought was, "Probably ruined the stance"!
Nope...car looks phenomenal, and sounds awesome! Great pass, congrats!

Congrats Tom! Did you have anyone go into the motor since we last saw you in 2013 Norwalk? I'm sure there's even more in it too based on the 60 ft.
Hi Sean. The engine has not changed. Damon has found some things that needed to be corrected and he has tuned on it as well. I agree there is more to be found. I am still running a ladder bar. If we can get the 60' better the car should pick up another 10th

Congrats Tom!! Man, I it must be such a great feeling to break through the "8" barrier! Congrats again! Jim T.
Thanks Jim! It was a great feeling to finally get into the 8s. I'm going to try to get out a couple more times and see if I can get my 60' down. I have no doubt you will be there soon.

Tom, What are you running for a Torque converter? What's the stall? A number of years ago, I was making a number of changes to my combo. Each change involved making more Power and torque. With each change, I had the same Torque converter reconfigured. The changes always lowered my ET and picked up MPH however, my 60ft more or less stayed the same. I finally installed a playback tach and discovered that the converter was locking up early, then unloading and stalling where it was suppose to. I bit the bullet and bought a ATI fuel and blown converter. The car picked up 2 tenths and 3 MPH. The 60ft went from mid to low 1.40's to low 1.30's and high 1.20's. My car weighs about 3700lbs with me in it. My best 60ft is 1.25 with the 572. Given what my car does on the bottom, there has to be more left in yours. Just food for thought! What do you think? Jim T.
I have a 9" Frank Lupo converter. It's a 5200-5500 stall. I just put in a playback tach. I will record the runs next time out and see what the converter is doing. Thanks for the information. What rear gear are you running Jim? I am running a 4.10 with a 32" tall tire . I go thru the traps about 6800 rpm. Peak HP according to the dyno was @ 6450.

Conrats to both of you. Both of your car's are faster than mine. Comparison for what it's worth as far as converter and 60 ft. The major difference is carb/intake as mine runs the Indy cross ram with 2 750 Eddys. Car is equipped with an Ultimate 9". Flashes at 5700 on the playback. I think the carbs are bogging, slowing the 60 ft. Car doesn't spin. Lenny speced the converter very close. Ladder bar, 4.10, M/T bias 10.5x29.5, 727, 3345 lbs., 572, 14.8-1, -1 hand ported from MCH, cam 285/.799", 292/.799"@ 112 in at 108 1.29/3.73/5.80@118.2/9.127@146.68. It's been mid 147 mph in different conditions,7000-7100. The suspension adjustment was better the last time out. Looking to try some Holleys in the spring. Doug
