Gary,
Yea..I think I will "try" to run mine the same as the factory did it in 1971, were the one line/hose comes from the conection at the firewall to the pump, then the other line goes from the pump to the condencer on the drivers side. My only concern is will it interfere with my air cleaner assembly? I will have a 383 with a 6-pack and a normal B-body factory six pack air cleaner assembly. I am thinking I will try to have the pump conections on top.

I felt the same way at first, at least go the stock route. But it was way cheaper, easier to do it with hose and felt it would be too much hose to run all the way across the front with rubber hose if I split them. Plus up top like that I didn't have any other option. Then you need custom made steel or aluminum lines(nice) if I split them side to side. I'm sure it's not best or don't look stock or even close. My car is just a driver and it works well.

I guess I should ask if all the brackets that are made to mount the sanden pump on to a Big Block Mopar are the same or if some are a little lower than others? I haven't purchased them yet, but I have a 440 source aluminum water pump housing with a passenger side lower hose connection that I will be using. I saw pictures of the brackets that Classic Auto Air..sells and they use aluminum brackets and the back side uses a tiny block that bolts to the head and the back bolt on the pump bolts to it. The bouchillon brackets are steel (I think) and don't use the bolt hole on the engine head to mount, they have a back bracket that mounts to the water pump. Anyone know which bracket mounting system keeps the pump lower/closer to the block?

Gary, these are Buchillon brackets, doubt there is anything else that would sit closer, only about 1/2" between the compressor and water pump housing and still easy to access all mounting hardware.

What part number did you get? I have an aluminum water pump housing-(440source) copy of the 74-up Big block housing that has the passenger side lower hose conection.
There is a BPE4700
and a .....BPE4710

Jess, THat is exactly what I needed to see! Thank you very much!... I also copied the link to your previous post about doing this. My engine compartment is the same as your E-body, so all will be the same except my car is a factory A/C car so I won't have to do the extra work at the firewall and I have an original style condencer.

Here's another view, not a rb exactly but shows the hose routing.
