I've always challenged that notion; what is the universe's natural condition? Cold, all heat comes from sources that aren't permanent. 
'Zactly. The heat will continue to be removed from the sun/planets until there is no more energy left. Eventually it will become near absolute zero. Never really reaching it due to the universal radiation left from the big bang.
