Hello, trying to find a a Rev-n-nator ignition box. And can't seem to find one. Mancini says they have no clue as to when they might see stock if ever. And the R/T Garage doesn't look like they sell them on their web site. Do they still make these? Thanks

I talk to Troy( owner of the R/ T Garage) on occasion
I talked to him last week and they were working on getting a new assembly factory set up. So right now they are out of stock. I believe he still has some blems on the shelf with minor cosmetic flaws if you need one soon. Give him a call to be sure.

Mine was bought from Mancini last year at Carlisle.

Out of curiosity, what has since happened that they currently aren't making them?

could you explain this statement! is there trouble with the box or trouble with the install (which is supposed to be plug and play)?

I don't have one but I seem to remember a thread on here where Dave Dudek liked his Rev-n-nator pretty well.

The last FBO box seems to be pretty good, the board is from a specialty ignition place. I seem to remember the numbers 688.

rickseeman, I bet there are a number of members who'd like to try out your non-working-right Rev-n-nator.

You remember correctly...it was the ridiculous HP increase claims that were unsubstantiated (and impossible). These claims and the resulting soured many from purchasing what may have been an otherwise good box.

while I never believed the real world gain initially posted I did believe in the testing Dunnuck Racing did. it was the statement "I got mine from Mancini but I never got it to work" that concerned me. I hadn't heard of any issues and have been recommending them to guys looking to upgrade based on the testing.

Stock & orange ecu boxes can leave a bunch of HP on the table. They can be erratic and also are widely known to retard timing as the rpm's increase. So on a 450hp-600hp motor it's actually easy to see where a lagging box could give up 20hp-40hp in the upper range. So it's not that the Rev box adds hp it justs runs clean and correct and allows your motor to run better. Same with MSD, etc except it has a stock plug and look to it.

My post here was deleted. I asked the guy that wrote.." never could get it to run right" what exactly he meant. His was a very vague statement.
Not run right....could that mean it idled poorly? It revved slower? Misfire? Hard to start? Cut out at high rpms? What does "not run right" mean to that guy?
We try to be helpful here, right?
This unit has a rev limiter. Maybe the car "didn't run right" because the guy didn't set the limiter high enough and the car cut out at 3000 rpms. Troy from R/T garage includes instructions clearly stating the approved coils to use, the adjustments to the timing curve that may be necessary and the ballast resistor requirements. There is info on how to set the rev limiter. The instructions are so detailed, the only person that would have trouble is someone that simply pulled the ECU from the box and bolted it in place without reading a single word of the instructions.
I had one of these but sold it because I wanted to run vacuum advance for better mpgs. The REV box is supposed to run better without vacuum advance.

Correct me if I am wrong isn't the main supplier of the unit a member here?
Perhaps he will chime in.

I bought one to replace a chrome box , it worked ok for a little while

No performance gains, zero ..none, period

Car did not start as well , the tach needle jumped all over

After using it for a few weeks

after the 3rd or 4th run down the track, car would miss stumble, sputter

I hated it , took it off, replaced it with a MSD Street fire box

runs so much better, no misses

but, they did refund me the cost of the box, no tax or shipping but I did get $199.00 back

I would never ever buy another one ,ever

My tach twitches quite a bit too with this box. I e-mailed them about it, but they didn't seem to know what I was talking about.

I would like to have more info about the vacuum advance situation. I have always ran it, and would like to now. I just haven't taken the time to experiment with it with this box, so it is unhooked.

Has anyone experimented with vacuum advance with these boxes? What problems are associated with running vac advance? And can the issues be adjusted out?

Master, again and still
