I am unsure why you are unable to vote. I will check into it and try to make it work...but if it doesn't e-mails are great!

The website is a definite yes... I'm hoping Nina has lots of "never before seen" pictures of Billy's cars to post on the site!

Maybe all this will convince someone to roll out a restored Billy " The Kid " car in the next year or so!!! With all the cool paint tricks ( smoke, lace, cobwebs ) they were some of the coolest cars of their era!!

Y-E-S !!!!

I am much too young (28) to remember "the good ald days" but as a nostalgic kind of person, I think a web site would be a great tribute. It would let some remember the man and some learn about the man for the first time. I never really knew anything about hm but I remember seeing the cars in pictures as I like to search out old drag racing photos. I would like to learn more and see more pictures.

Thank you Nina for doing that for your Dad. It doesn't matter who you are, if you're a Dad of a daughter, you would move a mountain and fight the world for her. I would for mine and I think you realize your Dad would've for you. A website would be a thoughtful honor.

Nina,
I don't think there's a member here who wouldn't want to see a website (no matter how simple) to honor your Dad. My sincere sympathies go out to you and your family. KK

That would be great, Nina! If you need any pictures of his old car in it's current configuration just let me know. It is cool that you would do his for your dad and all of the people who he touched in his life, thanks!

Nina, check out both the Ronnie Sox site and the Butch Leal site. They were both put together by Mike Miller at Weblaster Designs. He will do right by your dad. That said....

Opening day at Maple Grove PA 1973: The "Billy the Kid" Demon vs "Grumpy's Toy" Vega, best out of three. Me and my buddy, Vic (I wonder what ever happened to 'ol Vic?) where there. We washed cars part time at the local C-P-D dealer, and were resplendent in our "Good Guys" winbreakers and Pentastar caps. Your dad made us welcome in the pit area, "all right!!, a cheering section" he said. Your dad's rig whipped Grumpy's butt three straight times!!!. Now, we were DEEP in Jenkin's neighborhood remember. People threw rocks at us!! We went by after the last round, a little battered, but feeling pretty smug. You dad patted us both on the back and thanked us for being there. Great days indeed. Now, fast forward to the nineties, at the Texas Motorplex, when he had the Avenger. My boys and me stopped by and complimented him on his latest Mopar. I said, 'Ya know, one of my greatest days at the track was when........." he grabbed me by both shoulders and said, ..."you're the Maple Grove guy!!!!" I stood there like I had been tazered.

The man's EARNED a web site. Go with it girl!!!

Awesome story [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] Red ...... thanks for sharing it.
So sorry for the loss of your Pop , Nina.
I know your pain and don't know the cure , but the good memories keep me smiling.
A web site would be very cool.
Condolences to you and yours.

BTW, I think perhaps the last Billy The Kidds PS car is here in Finland, a Dodge Avenger? Currently equipped with a chevy engine though, but the original B1-TS engine was just purchased by a friend of mine and will be installed in to a.... Chevy Cobalt! Revenge!
