Yep thats the Evil Twin. Allegedly 1000lbs lighter than the other 57 he has been 6.90s with. Regardless of how light it is its still as Aerodynamic as a 57 chevy and I am sure that causes problems over 200MPH.

Don't want to start a rumor, but I thought I read something yesterday that alluded to them maybe having both 57's at DW....

trust me on this that was the new "Evil Twin" car there. They have some awsome power in there cars as well. Good guys to deal with no matter the internet guru's say. Been dealing w/them long before all there popularity came around. This guy was a mason in trade for a living, so he know's what hard work is about. Can't wait to see if they get this thing in tune & down the track the had way. Should be an easy 6.80 car, 2140hp @ the rear wheels. See ya, Ken Michalik
guess you didn't see the thread on the bullet about his work?

Lets not get this thread headed down THAT road..........Jeff Lutz is a good guy, a friend of mine and does outstanding work. One only needs to look at the "Evil Twin" car to see that. Every piece of it was built at Lutz Race Cars............Now there are 3 sides to every story. What one says, what the other says and the TRUTH. I doubt the only people who know what the REAL story on the Cuda is, would be Jeff and the customer. All I know was Jeff didn't build that car. It was brought to him from another shop and we don't know what he was told to do, or allowed to do. He DID tell me the body needed to come off to fix some stuff and the guy would not pay him to do that and that's all I know. Now if some want to believe everything they read on the internet and base an opinion of somebody on some heresay and a few pics, I guess that's their prerogative.
The "old" car still had a stock steel front on it, and at speed the air ducts around the headlights that put air into the stock cars, would gather air and push the front up. The "new" car has a glass front clip without all that ducting, so it shouldn't want to fly like that...........guess it is possible they are still working the setup out, but that pic just "looks" like the old car, but maybe not.................BOTH on Drag Week, why not? He has both and is not opposed to letting somebody else pilot one, so it won't surprise me one bit

Jeff Lutz testing at PRP this Thursday! Jeff Lutz will be at PRP this Thursday, testing both of his ’57 Chevys “The Beast” and “The Evil Twin”! Jeff is well known for his participation and impressive elapsed times on Hot Rod Magazine’s Drag Week, and for his appearances on the Discovery Channel show “Street Outlaws”. If you’ve been on the Lutz Race Cars or PRP Facebook pages recently, you saw the video from last week’s testing at PRP, and how well the Evil Twin got down the track! Spectators gates will open at noon, with the normal price of $10 per person, or $25 for a carload. There are spots available for the track rental, contact Greg Miller – miller@pittsburghracewaypark.com – for details (must be a slick tired car). The regularly scheduled test and tune hours remain at 7pm-11:30pm; early admittance will be allowed.
