The Eddies are a good starting point for street engines. They are bolt on pieces and do the job. Best of all, they're made in USA.
I have no experience with the other brands and will leave that up to others.

I have them on a 470" low deck. Disassembled, checked them over, installed springs to match my cam and installed them. Been together a few years now with zero issues. Best part as stated...MADE IN USA!!! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer.gif)

I bought my Stealth heads from 440-source about 4 years ago now. I installed 10* locks & retainers, along with the springs that came with my cam. Other than that, out of the box and onto the motor. Years later; no issues whatsoever. I like the stock look, and I'd buy another pair in a heartbeat.

Use any head you want, but again, there is no such thing as a bolt on head. The last set of Edelbrock RPM heads we opened had metal shavings underneath the valves inside the port pocket from the machining of the hardened valve seats. At the very least, take 'em apart, inspect them, clean them and then reassemble.

I run one of the first set of Stealths made.No problems street and strip.I did have locks, springs etc changed as I run a large solid cam. They work for me.Eddys with angles plus would have been a problem with my Ross domes.Rocky

I just dynoed tested a small 440 stroker,464 C.I., 3.90 stroke with a 4.350 bore, with a set of Eddy RPM on it with a relative small cam. Comp Cams XE275HL with a Eddy Perormer RPM intake, 850 Holley doule pumper on Oregon 91 octane pump swill, it made 508 HP at 5800 RPM and 520 Ft Lbs torque at around 4000 RPM. That was on a calibrated Studka dyno in Madras OR at 2600 ft elevation earlier this summer. I have had stock stroke motors with bigger cams and intakes(singe plane team G) make more HP than that with a set of ported iron 906 heads with 2.14 intake valves and 1.81 exhaust valves You can to with the right parts The Edddy RPM flow more air than the 440 Source Stealth heads do so more power is available with them A set of Indy M.W. port size EZ or a set of thier SR M.W. port size will make more power than the Eddy RPM with the same short block, been there done that Lots of choices IHThs ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)
