Same here. Second port on the fuel log is for the nitrous.

Dap, What is your fuel pressure set at with the motor idling?
I just installed the same fuel system you have and mine is trying to quit at the mph lights and I am only running 1/8 mile.

I have 29 psi at the fuel log and the regulator is set at 7.25 psi. FP is rock steady.

I just pulled a BG400 pump from my BrandX as it ate itself. -10 line. No interest in fixing it. I replaced it with a QuickFuel 230 pump. I have a 498 that is around 650hp, it went 9.40 @ 139mph in a 2600 pound BrandX. Mine weighs 3000-3100 and not as good a chassis so I will slow down from those numbers for sure.

My system is plumbed for a BG 220 HR. That pump seized after about 4 1/8th mile passes and 10 street miles.
I replaced the pump with a Mallory 250, using the same plumbing. -10 to BG filter mounted on the Mallory pump , -8 to BG regulator and Race Demon 1050 carb with -10 return line.
I have only run 1/8th mile with the car.
Best so far 6.00 @ 115.27 MPH 1.38 60ft.

20 year old Holley blue pump
3/8 aluminum fuel line
Chrome Holley dual feed steel line thingy to the bowls. (No I'm not kidding)
30 year old Holley 800 DP
3/8 standard fuel filter

10.14 @ 128 best, 416 Duster @ 3100#

-06 lines from reg to bowls it ran the same. -08 lines to the bowls...ran the same.

I once made many a 10.30 run on another combo and I thought it was time to rebuild my many runs old Holley blue pump. A buddy talked me into trying his BG trick, billet cement mixer pump. Guess what? Car ran exactly the same with the BG pump and regulator.

While I agree that you can't have too much fuel, I believe this is an area that guys over spend on to go low 10's/high 9's...or faster! Where is the guy from NJ that had the old S/G Cuda that went 8.90's with a 500" B1 and a single blue pump?? That was one of the first fuel pump debates I read here.

Some of you may recall the mid 80's, 500" Pro Stocks going in the 7's with Holley blue pumps and those "junk" deadhead regulators, right?? They did...because that's all there was...LOL!

Remember that E-85 requires 30% more flow over gas..
I run dual pumps just because I had them.. I didnt
want to chance running lean on a single(it would have
been close)

Sorry, I re-read the OP was inquiring about something with E85...

I'd have a black Holley pump (alky compatible) and whatever regulator they recommend. The black pump will be as easy and cheap to rebuild as the blue pump, I would think. Spend the high dollar billet pump money elsewhere.

Where are you souring your E85 from?? Aren't you in the Sac area?? I think the closest station to me (Tracy) is Livermore.

The pro comp 140 pump is the exact same as the Holley black. I had a leaky gasket on my Pro comp and put a Holley kit in it. It worked fine it was just dripping a little out of the plate on the bottom so I put a kit in it. I think this pump was $40 off ebay. I just cant believe it still works. I was running a 440 that ran low 12's in a 4000 lb ram and sprayed it 150 nitrous and pump stilled kept up.

Yrs ago while I was doing some significant changes to my car I opted for a complete Aeromotive system I did that so I wouldn't have to buy a new system if I went to bigger horsepower. Mine includes A1000 pump, both pre pump and after pump filters, good regulator and -10 lines to the reg and -8 return lines. It should support anything I can afford to stick in the engine compartment. I also set it up according to the Aeromotive fuel system instructions. My current hp is about 610 but looking for 900 in the future.

Mine's mid 10's on e85, Holley Black pump, Holley 40 micron steel mesh filter after the pump, 1/2 line up to the home made 750dp carb, works great.
